Lovebirds

A friend of mine who is an amazing painter admired my work and asked if I could come up with a panel for his girlfriend for Christmas.  He wanted a pair of lovebirds and a heart to figure into the design, but left the rest to me.  We came up with this panel, which he told me was a hit!  I had a great time designing it and watching it come to life, but the best part was when he later told me that his girlfriend loved it as well.

I used rippled and plain cathedral glasses for the most part, but I wanted the birds to stand on their own...I used Spectrum streaky and mottled opaques.
