Parrot Tulips

Just finished this panel and it was snatched up before it was completed!  Here it is in its new home.

 

The glass for the tulips was purchased at the Youghiogheny Glass Factory in Pennsylvania when I was traveling near there last Fall.  Their glass is some of my favorite.  And when I saw this glass, I wanted it... not even sure yet what I would use it for.  I used small pieces for nightlights and jewelry, but it needed to sing in a larger piece. I later thought it would work well for some type of flower, but I never dreamed it would work so perfectly.  I was so pleased, I ended up planting these exact Parrot Tulip bulbs in my garden last Fall...can't wait to see them emerge!
